Elderly Man Killed during Pedestrian Accident

An elderly man was struck and killed by a vehicle while he was crossing the road last week.

According to police reports, the 70-year-old man was crossing a street around 1:40 a.m. when a passenger car struck him. Rather than stop to check on the victim, the vehicle drove away at a high speed. Witnesses describe the vehicle as being a white, four-door sedan that was heading north.

Officers are still investigating the fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident and at this time, the police department is not releasing the identity of the elderly victim.
