Police Officer Killed While Riding Motorcycle

In Corpus Christi, DPS is currently investigating a fatal auto accident that took place on FM 665.  The accident occurred on Monday during the morning hours when a motorcycle rider collided with an SUV at around 6:16 AM. After the collision, the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident and the driver of the SUV had to be rushed to a local hospital.

The motorcycle rider was a police officer from the Texas A&M Kingsville police department by the name of Mark Arispe.  He had been working as an officer with the department since June of 2002 and was allegedly on his way to work when the motorcycle accident took place.  Arispe was just 40 years old and his family said that his funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
