According to PittsburgLive.com, the family members of a 28 year old West Newton woman are filing a
wrongful death lawsuit. The young woman was killed in a motor vehicle accident in 2006 and her family is now seeking monetary damages from the other driver involved in the serious accident.
The young woman, named Nicole Lynn Hamilton, died from the critical injuries she sustained after George Szczerba pulled a truck out of his family business lot into the road and crashed into Hamilton. The catastrophic
truck accident occurred on December 14, 2006.
55 year old Szczerba was driving an empty tractor trailer that was owned by his family business, Szczerba Excavating, when the accident occurred. Police report that no criminal charges or traffic violations were filed against Szczerba after the accident occurred.
At the time, Hamilton's two daughters were in the car with her, ages 3 and 4. They escaped the collision with serious injuries, but managed to survive. Their mother was not so lucky.
The wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family lists Frank L. Szczerba Jr. and the company as defendants. The family is seeking jury trial and monetary damages at this time.
