Family Injured in Limousine Accident

An accident involving an SUV limo resulted in five injuries at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. A family of four had previously reserved limousine service from the airport to their hotel upon arrival. What should have been the luxurious start to their vacation instead began with a trip to a local medical center. The family, which included a seven-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, received non-life threatening injuries when their 75-year-old limo driver lost control of the large vehicle. The SUV was going through the ground level of one of the airport's parking garages when the driver apparently lost control and hit a parked car. The driver then careened into a large concrete support pillar nearly head on. The driver and the four passengers were quickly transported to a medical center for treatment. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials began an investigation to try to determine why the limo driver lost control of the vehicle.
