When you have a doctor diagnosing your illnesses, you want to make sure that you can trust that person to give you the optimal care and knowledgeable diagnoses. That’s why one hospital determined that they needed to release one of their employees when the doctor made claims that he had saved Obama’s life. According to the Dallas News the Preston Hollow plastic surgeon was reviewing workers compensation claims for the state of Texas and practicing medicine up until this week. The Texas Medical Board says that they have investigated the issue and found that Dr. Wayne Soignier demonstrated a lack of medical knowledge and has been diagnosed with delusional thinking.
The medical board wants Soignier to undergo psychological and neurological examinations. He continues to stick to his story saying that he saved the president from a terrible assassination plot. He says that he was assessing a patient at his office when the man mentioned that he was going to kill the president. He then says that he reported the incident to the FBI, and they poisoned the patient, effectively curbing the assassination plot.
In addition to weaving intriguing but false stories, Soignier has been banned from his practice because of a lack of experience. Research shows that he failed the American Board of Plastic Surgery’s specialty-certification exam five times. After his fifth attempt, the doctor chose to sue the board because he claimed that they failed to accommodate his disabilities when he took the exam. He says that he has attention deficit disorder, difficulty processing and expressing information, and an auditory processing disability. The doctor also says that he has dyslexia. State medical boards do their best to make sure that every doctor working in the area is equipped to care for patients, but sometimes a dangerous doctor like Soignier slips into the mix. If you have been harmed by an inexperienced doctor then talk to a personal injury attorney in your area today to sue for medical malpractice
