Family Seeks Wrongful Death Suit in Connection to Lung Transplant

The family of a man that died after he received a lung transplant at a Dallas medical facility recently filed a number of suits involving several parties in connection to the death. R.C. had undergone surgery for a lung transplant about two years ago but died a couple days after the surgery was completed. R.C.'s family is suing the hospital where the surgery was performed, the organ bank where the lung originated from, the company that transported the organ and the company that produced the fluid used to preserve the lung. The suit claims that the pH of the preserving fluid was not correct which led to R.C.'s death once the transplant occurred.
