A seasoned mechanic that worked at a DART maintenance facility suffered fatal injuries recently in a bus maintenance accident. T.T., 61 years old, was preparing to work on one of the busses in the bay one evening when the incident happened. He walked to the front of the bus and it rolled forward and trapped him against the bay wall causing major crush injuries. Fellow employees freed him and called emergency services. He was rushed by ambulance to the Baylor University Medical Center but his injuries were too severe and he died. Coworkers, family and friends were stunned by the incident and stated that T.T. was very vigilant about safety and ensured that he and other workers applied safety regulations. Investigators are looking into the accident to determine if there was a parking brake failure or other malfunction which led to the fatal incident but no information has been released as yet. If you have been hurt in a workplace accident or if you lost a family member in a fatal incident that happed while he or she was on the job then talk to a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.

Unsafe working conditions could lead to slip and fall accidents, head injuries, burns, electrocution, exposure to dangerous chemicals and other illnesses or injuries. Vehicle accidents that occur while driving a company vehicle or a personal vehicle are also considered on the job accidents.
