Other statistics found in the report shows that drivers aged 22 were involved in more fatal accidents than any others. Holiday weekends, such as those at Memorial Day, Labor Day, New Years, and Thanksgiving had the highest rates of Florida traffic accidents. As an example, Labor Day 2010 resulted in 29 fatalities with 15 of those being alcohol related. The biggest cause of traffic crashes overall was classified as "careless driving," which accounted for 38.69 percent of all accidents.
