A 23-year-old woman faced a judge recently at the Pasadena Superior Court in regard to a hit and run accident where a little girl was seriously injured. The 12-year-old girl was walking home from school around 4:00 in the afternoon when the accident occurred. She was crossing the street when a late model white sedan struck her. The driver fled the scene. The little girl was airlifted to a children’s hospital having suffered a broken leg and head trauma. Were you injured in an accident that was not your fault? Hit and Run Driver Faces Serious Penalties
Police were able to find the driver of the sedan that hit the 12-year-old a few hours after the accident and take her into custody. At her court hearing she pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license and driving without insurance. She will return to court in early March for sentencing and could be facing over four years imprisonment for felony hit and run plus other punishment for not having a license or insurance.
