A woman was walking her dog near in Eaton Canyon when she was approached by a female employee with the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation. The woman was allowing her dog to run off the leash which violates local leash laws. The parks employee warned the 28-year-old woman that her dog needs to be on a leash. The employee had to warn the dog owner two more times upon returning to the area of the canyon where she was allowing her dog to run free. The woman became hostile at that point according to the employee. The woman and her dog then went to her car while the employee stood nearby to take a picture in case it was needed for identification if the dog owner made future visits and ignored the leash law. According to the employee, the woman drove her car forward at the employee, hitting her in the legs. She was thrown back into a parked car. Then as the driver turned her vehicle to drive away, the left front tire ran over the victim’s shoe, nearly missing her toes. She was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.
