Dog Bites

Dog bites are common occurances in Los Angeles, CA. In fact, the Los Angeles Times recently published an article on how Los Anglees is number 1 in dog biting postal workers.
The numbers support these assertions. Between 2010 - 2013, there were over 30,000 reported dog bite incidents in the Los Angeles County. Remember, these were reported incidents, so the actual numbers could be much higher.
There is some good news if you are a dog bite victim. California has a strict liability rule under
Civil Code § 3342, which means you are automatically allowed to recover if bitten by a dog, assuming you were not provoking the dog at the time of the attack.
It's important to remember that while a dog bite may seem minor, the effects can linger and severly impact your time ability to work, excersize, and enjoy your normal daily activities.
