Mother Claims Negligence Led to Her Son's Slip and Fall Accident

During the month of October, it was reported that a mother decided to file a slip and fall lawsuit against La Morenita Meat Market in Texas.  The mother alleged that while at the meat market, her son slipped and fell due to a puddle of water on July 22, 2009.

In December, a docket control plan was filed in the case.  If the parties are not able to mediate the matter before November 14^th, the case will proceed to trial in December.

In her lawsuit, the mother says that the market was negligent and breached its duties by failing to eliminate the hazardous condition.  Her lawsuit states, "There was water leaking from the food preparation area into the customer area and Plaintiff, Bryan Moreno, slipped and fell on the floor resulting in the injuries and damages complained of herein."

Now, the mother says that her son has to deal with pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical bills, and physical injuries due to his slip and fall.
