Surfer Sustains Serious Injuries during Accident

While surfing is a hobby for many California residents, it can turn ugly when you are injured in a surfing accident. The son of a former governor found himself being transported to the hospital last weekend after receiving serious injuries on his surfboard.

The 13-year-old was out boogie boarding on Malibu Beach when a wave overtook him. He was rushed to the local hospital where doctors worked to fix a collapsed lung and broken bones. His mother took to Twitter later that night to ease worries about her son. The teenager was released later that evening and is reportedly doing well at home.

This incident just adds to the drama surrounding his parents who are in the middle of what could be a long and difficult divorce. After his father revealed that he had an illegitimate son with a housekeeper, the mother took action by filing for divorce.
