In Christmas, Florida, it has been reported that a fatal car accident led to the closure of SR 50. According to troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol and deputies from Orange County, officers responded to the collision shortly after it occurred last Friday.
Following the accident, eastbound and westbound traffic lanes were expected to remain closed until emergency crews were finished clearing away wreckage. Police said that three critically injured victims had to be transported to Florida Hospital East and that one of the victims, identified as a 32-year-old male, was pronounced dead by a doctor at the hospital.
The car accident took place west of Christmas near Ponchos Lane, which is a mile east of the SR 50 and SR 520 intersection.
