Motorcyclist Dies in Florida Crash

In Clearwater, Florida, it is reported that a motorcyclist died from his injuries after he was involved in a serious collision with a sport utility vehicle on July 10^th.  The motorcycle accident occurred around 10:30 PM along Missouri Avenue.

At the time of the crash, Bobby Joseph Paonessa was traveling southbound on Missouri when his bike entered the path of a SUV heading southbound.  The driver of the SUV, 27 year old Lacy Smithson, was trying to make a left turn onto Belleair Road when the Paonessa's bike hit her.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene.  However, Paonessa's injuries were so severe that he died at the accident site.  Police say that Paonessa was wearing a helmet when the collision occurred.

Police have not stated whether or not Smithson was injured.
