1 Killed and 3 Injured from Dog Attacks

In the state of Tennessee, police say that two pit bull attacks led to the death of an elderly man and the injuries of three individuals that sustained dog bites.  Two of the individuals that suffered injuries were emergency workers.

According to the Memphis Fire Department, crews arrived at the scene of the attack at 12:00 PM on Tuesday in a neighborhood near downtown Memphis.  The 71 year old victim went into cardiac arrest after being attacked and had suffered multiple dog bites.  They say that he later died while at a local hospital.

A 25 year old victim was also bitten and listed as being in critical condition.  Both a paramedic and fire lieutenant were also attacked.  One was bitten the leg and the other in the abdomen.

All of the victims were attacked by the same two pit bulls and both dogs have been captured.
