Church Van Crashed into Pickup Truck in South Carolina

In Lancaster, South Carolina, a church van recently crashed into a pickup truck, resulting in six people sustaining seriously injuries and one person dying.

The truck accident occurred on Saturday, November 21 at 4:20 PM.  According to reports, the accident lead to the death of a pastor, who had been riding in the church's van.  The driver of the van had been trying to avoid debris on the road when it entered the path of an oncoming truck on S.C. 903.

Prior to the accident, the group from South Point Free-Will Baptist Church had attended an annual men's golf tournament in Myrtle Beach.  On their way back to from the tournament, the van swerved to avoid hitting a tire that had been released from another automobile, and ultimately crossed paths with an oncoming pickup truck. 

Six of the van's passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital by emergency response teams.  Unfortunately, Reverend Ronnie Wilson died upon impact.   Both the driver of the pickup truck and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle.  Neither had been wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred.
