Allen Bucknell

Managing Litigation Attorney

Allen Bucknell was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois. He attended Eastern Illinois University on a debate scholarship. He tied for 5th place at the National Debate Tournament his senior year. In 1979, he graduated with Honors with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Allen then attended the University of Illinois College of Law and received a Juris Doctorate in May of 1982. While attending the University of Illinois, he was a member of the Law Review.

After graduation from law school, Allen moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Initially he practiced insurance defense. In 1989, he switched the focus of his practice to plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death. He was the chief litigator for another prominent personal injury firm from 1989 until 1996. In 1996, he joined Goldberg & Osborne as Managing Attorney of the Phoenix Litigation Department. He handles serious injury cases and supervises several full time litigation attorneys and paralegals.

In 1992, the State Bar of Arizona certified Allen as a specialist in injury and wrongful death litigation. Allen has held this certification for over 10 years. During his career, Allen has tried more than 50 cases. He has also handled hundreds of arbitrations and mediations. He has handled a variety of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents,premises liability claims, employment law, product liability claims, medical malpractice and general negligence. He has handled cases that have resulted in settlements in excess of $1 million.

Allen has been a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Federal District Bar of Arizona since 1982. He is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers and a sustaining member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.
