A police officer will be laid to rest this week after losing his life in a motorcycle accident. The victim, a veteran of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, will be missed by his family and coworkers, all of whom had positive things to say about the officer. The California Highway Patrol received a 911 call early last week about a motorcyclist that had been struck by a woman driving a SUV. When police arrived on the scene, the victim, 43-year-old J.S., was in critical condition. The officers learned that the woman made a left turn out of a gas station when she pulled into the path of the off-duty deputy. Although he tried to avoid hitting her vehicle, J.S. struck the back of the SUV instead. He was thrown from his bike and sustained critical injuries.
He was quickly transported to an area hospital but died shortly after due to his massive internal injuries. If you have recently been hurt in a motorcycle accident, you should consider seeking legal counsel. Don't wait to have your case evaluated by a
personal injury lawyer in your city of residence.
