Older Man Killed on the Job

News sources report that an older man lost his life in a boat accident last week while working. The victim was loading equipment onto a fishing vessel when his boom truck tipped and he fell from the vehicle. According to the police report, the victim, 52-year-old F.M., was operating his truck when it tipped off the dock and fell onto the fishing craft. He fell out of the truck cab and onto the desk of the boat, sustaining a head injury that ultimately led to his death. The boat was reportedly 19 feet below the dock at the time.

As with any workplace injury, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sent a representative to investigate the injury. It is known that the vessel's deck was punctured by the boom of the loading truck. However, it is uncertain whether this will prevent the vessel from resuming operations in the future. If someone you love has been injured in a boat accident, help him or her by finding a personal injury lawyer now who will offer that person advice and representation.
