Man from Los Gatos Killed during Auto Accident

Police are still investigating the car accident that took the life of a man in Los Gatos last week. It appears as though he lost control of his vehicle, which eventually struck a concrete barrier, causing fatal injuries. When police arrived on the scene, the victim's vehicle had come to a stop in the northbound lanes, even though the driver had been heading in the opposite direction. Based on eyewitness testimony, the man was heading south when he tried to make a fast lane change. There was a truck in front of him which he wanted to pass, but instead he swerved into the truck and then hit a sign in the center median. His vehicle got turned around and he slammed into a concrete barrier.

The driver was seen driving erratically minutes before the car accident took place. It is uncertain whether the driver suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel, an idea that will be confirmed or denied by the medical coroner's report issued later this week.
