Police Believe Drunk Driver Caused Crash

An accident that shut down a major highway for hours is believed to have been caused by a drunk driver. Although the incident is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, it is known that a passenger vehicle ran into the back of a tanker truck last week near Glendale. The suspect, 25-year-old H.M., was witnessed driving into the back of a tandem tanker, the impact of which pushed the rear trailer into a guardrail. The vehicle overturned and caught on fire underneath an overpass bridge. Luckily, neither driver was injured in the car accident or the resulting fire. Both were able to flee to a nearby exit until the police and fire department arrived on the scene.

After being checked for any injuries, police officers determined that H.M. had been intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was arrested and transported to a local jail on suspicion of DUI. If you were hurt during a drunk driving accident and are wondering what you can do to seek justice, take the time to consult a personal injury lawyer in your area immediately.
