Wrongful Death 9/11 Settlement Reached

The final wrongful death lawsuit relating to the 9/11 terrorist attacks has been settled. The family of a man who was on a fatal flight sued an airport in Boston, Massachusetts for what the family saw as security lapses that led to the death of their son, a hockey scout for a California team.

The flight took off from the airport on the morning of September 11, 2001, was then taken over by terrorists and rocketed into the south tower of the World Trade Center. The family of the young man has said that they decided to settle after publicly disclosing as much information as they could to the public about what they saw as the airport's security lapses.

A trial was scheduled to begin on November 7th, but it became clear that the trial was going to be limited to just three weeks. Still grieving from the tragedy that they suffered, the family of the dead man is happy to have done what they could to give voice to the safety concerns that they feel contributed to the death of their son.

The settlement terms have not been disclosed to the press.

Should you be thinking about filing a wrongful death claim, know that it is a wise idea to consult with a personal injury lawyer first.
