Energy Drink Maker Faced with Lawsuit

The makers of Four Loko find themselves at the middle of another lawsuit, this time on behalf of a 15-year-old boy who lost his life.
The Rupp family filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of their son, John "Bo", who drank two cans of the alcoholic energy drink while at a concert. When John started to act erratically, concert staff called the parents to pick up their son. When he arrived at their house, however, he took off running down a busy road, where he was hit and killed by a car.
His family now wants to raise awareness about the drink, also referred to as "blackout in a can," so that others will not be subject to tragedy like the Rupp family was. Chicago is just one city that has taken effort to prevent others from following similar paths by outlawing it in city limits.
If you have lost someone due to wrongful death, take the time to discuss your rights with a
personal injury lawyer.
