Police Able to Identify Victim of Pedestrian Accident

The victim of a pedestrian accident has finally been identified by police as being 20-year-old Kenneth Aleshire of Seaford.

Officers with the Delaware State Police were called to the scene of a crash that occurred on Route 40 eastbound last weekend. A woman driving a Chevrolet Tahoe was witnessed driving when a man suddenly went into the path of her vehicle from the south shoulder. She didn't have any time to avoid hitting him, causing his immediate death. However, the body will be turned over to the medical examiner's office to complete an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Police initially withheld the victim's name until his next-of-kin was notified. The driver of the Tahoe was not injured in the crash. Due to the pedestrian accident the right hand lane of eastbound Route 40 was closed until police finished their on-ground investigation.

If you or someone you love has recently been injured in a pedestrian accident, there is no time to waste in consulting with a personal injury lawyer.
