Tragedy struck on an icy road in Atlanta last Friday, taking the life of one young girl leaving the other devastated to have lost her best friend.

Karli Jobling and Alex Covett, both 18, were traveling down an icy road when Covett lost control of the vehicle. Her car crossed the median and went into oncoming traffic on the other side. While Covett experienced minor injuries, her best friend since kindergarten was pronounced dead at the scene.
