Man Loses Two Fingers during Construction Accident

The East Stroudsburg, Pa. man who only lost two and a half fingers can still consider himself lucky after surviving a serious construction accident.

The 62-year-old man was working on a job site in North Commerce Square where lofts are being built when he lost his fingers. Police responded around 9:15 a.m. where they were able to recover the fingers removed by a table saw, put them in a glove and packed it with snow to maintain their condition.

He was quickly taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center by emergency personnel who also brought the fingers along in the hopes that doctors could reattach them. It is not known yet whether the medical staff was successful in doing so.
