Macy's Sued for Slip and Fall

A supposed "dangerous condition" at the Macy's in Parkdale Mall is the reason why Nell Sparks is suing the company.

He filed a claim against the famous company claiming that one of their stores had failed to clean up "slick substances" on the floor. Sparks fell on Oct. 27 at that location although the lawsuit does not specify what area of the store he was injured in and what was on the floor. As a result of these conditions, however, he suffered mental anguish, pain, disfigurement and impairment. Nell is also claiming lost wages, past and future medical expenses, and exemplary wages.

The lawsuit was filed in Jefferson County District Court on Jan. 20, 2011.
