Car Accident Takes Life in Los Angeles

A car accident in south Los Angeles took the life of a young man in the early hours of Friday morning.

The 19-year-old man was walking outside of a crosswalk on the 8600 block of Figeuroa Boulevard and Manchester Avenue around 7 a.m. Friday morning when he was struck by a vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced him dead on the scene but have not yet identified him.

Police were able to speak with the driver who pulled over and waited for them to arrive. During their interview with him the police stated that he had not broken any laws.
