Two Young Adults Hit by Vehicle

Two young adults were struck by a vehicle last week, killing one and seriously injuring the other.

According to one police department, the 25-year-old woman and 24-year-old man were crossing a busy roadway wearing dark clothing. They were both struck by a large SUV that stopped immediately. The driver waited for police to arrive on the scene and stayed with the young woman until an ambulance came.

The woman was declared dead shortly after paramedics arrived. Her friend was brought to a local hospital in critical condition. At this time, police do not think that the driver had been speeding and/or drinking at the time. The late hour, dark clothing and lack of a crosswalk are likely to blame for the fatal pedestrian accident.

When you are hurt in a pedestrian accident, you may be concerned about your future.  Instead of worrying, work with a personal injury lawyer who can help you seek compensation.
