Texas Woman Killed during Bike Accident

A young woman lost her life last week in Killeen, Texas in a motorcycle accident.
The 23-year-old was riding with fellow members of a motorcycle riding club when she had trouble navigating a turn. She lost control of her ride and ran off the highway. The woman drove straight into a tree, causing serious injuries. Although she was flown to a nearby hospital shortly after, she succumbed to her injuries later that day.
According to the police report, the young woman was a soldier on leave. She was an Army specialist that enlisted in 2005 and served two terms in Iraq.
At the time of the accident, she had been wearing a helmet.
