Although no children were injured, police are still taking a bus accident that happened in Concord last week very seriously.
According to police reports, a 59-year-old woman from Pittsburgh drove her car into a school bus after having experiencing heart problems while driving. The affected bus came from the Mt. Diablo Unified School District and was carrying four students at the time of the accident. When emergency personnel arrived the woman was already unconscious and was transported to a local hospital. Luckily she was driving at a low speed when she ran into the bus.
The California Highway Patrol will further investigate this accident, as they do all crashes involving school buses occupied by underage students, but have yet to press any charges.
Later reports show that the woman was placed onto life support after suffering a "cardiac incident."
