Biker Injured during Labor Day Weekend Crash

Over Labor Day, the California Highway Patrol and the Ukiah Valley Fire Department had to respond to a call on Friday at 12:45 PM after a man that was riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle near Old River Road.
According to officials from the fire department, the man suffered numerous lacerations to his head and a broken leg after hitting the windshield of the car, which had been driving at 45 mph.
The victim of the bicycle accident was airlifted to Howard Memorial Hospital. At this time, no additional information has been released about his condition.
The California Highway Patrol said that throughout the holiday weekend, multiple accidents involving motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians had occurred throughout the state.
