Pedestrain Accident Leads to Death of 14 Year Old

This week, it was reported that a 14-year-old girl from Henry County was hit and killed during a pedestrian accident on Tuesday morning.

Police say that they accident took place around 7:20 AM on Jonesboro Road which is just east of Rosewood Drive.  Reports indicate that the 14-year-old, Miracle Parham, was hit in the middle of a road by a Saturn.

Police say that the teen may have been hit a second time by another vehicle, but they cannot confirm that detail at this time. According to a witness who saw the accident, the girl appeared to be backing away from a vicious dog and ended up in oncoming traffic. The driver of the Saturn had to be transported to Henry Medical Center for treatment and the victim died at the scene.
