Two People Hurt during Head On Collision

In North Carolina, it has been reported that two people suffered serious injuries during a head-on car accident in Gaston County. Police say that be are accident took place on Tuesday morning.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:35 AM on Dallas-Cherryville Highway, which is just outside of the town limits for Dallas.
At the time of the collision, Tara Maurice McGirth was driving an Acura and slammed head-on into a Honda Civic that was being operated by a 20-year-old man. The name of the second driver has not been made public at this time.
Officers say that McGirth's vehicle flipped numerous times and she became trapped inside. When firefighters arrived, she was able to be pulled from the vehicle while the 20-year-old had to be cut from his car.
Both were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
