Man Dies in Bicycle Accident at Turn

A man in a Southeast Alaska village has died as the result of a bicycle accident. He was reportedly riding his bicycle down a steep and attempting to navigate a turn. Unfortunately, he was unable to make the turn and smashed into a telephone pole instead. Roderick D. Cavanaugh was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident. No one else was involved in the accident.
