Driver Injured After Rolling a Drilling Rig

The driver of a drilling rig was hospitalized after he lost control of his vehicle. Highway patrol received a call about the rig before the crash because someone else on the road reported that it was weaving. Highway patrol caught up to the rig and followed it for about a mile as it drove down the highway weaving from side to side. The truck then swerved to the right then rolled when the driver overcorrected. The vehicle rolled once before landing upright.
The 45-year-old driver of the rig was partially ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and he was quickly transported to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls. His current state is unknown, and it is as yet unclear whether alcohol was involved in the accident. Highway patrol is investigating.
