15 Year Old Dies in San Diego Trucking Accident

In San Diego, it is reported that a truck accident led to the death of a teenager this past weekend.  The teenager, 15 year old Crystal Lopez, was from Imperial Valley.

According to reports, the collision took place this Saturday while Crystal was riding as a passenger in her mother's truck.  Her mother, 45 year old Cruz Hernandez, was driving at the time.

Hernandez had been heading westbound on Interstate 8 when she lost control of the truck and rolled several times.  After investigating, the California Highway Patrol ruled that drugs or alcohol were not involved.

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  Hernandez's condition has not been revealed at this time.
