In Tucson, Arizona, a family is planning to file a personal injury lawsuit for the loss of their loved one. According to police, the victim, 45 year old Faith Mascolino, was killed during a highway
car accident. They say that another driver crashed into a parked Arizona highway patrol cruiser, where the Mascolino had been sitting.
Mascolino is believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol on June 3rd while driving on Interstate 10 in Tucson. Police apprehended her and she was placed in the patrol vehicle. That is when 28 year old Robert Gallivan crashed his car into the back of the state Department Public Safety vehicle. Upon impact, the vehicle ignited. DPS officials were not able to save Mascolino from the fire because of the heat and intensity.
Recently, Mascolino's husband and 4 year old son filed a lawsuit in the Pima County Superior Court. At this time, they are seeking unspecified compensation.
Authorities report that the Gallivan was hospitalized for a week following the accident. No charges have been brought against him for the collision.
