Family Receives $17 Million Settlement for Car Accident Injuries

In New Jersey, a family was rewarded a $17 million settlement for injuries they sustained during a head on car crash in 2006.
It is being reported that a jury in Ocean County returned the $17 million civil trial verdict. The family, known as the Rodens family, felt the verdict was just. The Rodens filed the personal injury lawsuit after they were struck by another driver on Route 9 in Tuckerton, New Jersey. According to court documents, the driver crossed over the center line and crashed into the Rodens head on in August of 2006.
At the time of the serious crash, the Rodens and their three small children were in the family vehicle. The mother, father and all three of the young children sustained devastating injuries from the
auto accident. One child suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury which has left her with permanent paralysis in her leg.
