Maker of Dangerous Reumofan Pain Pills Goes Off the Map

Recently a USA Today investigation team discovered that consumers buying Reumofan pills are purchasing the medication from a virtually non-existent company. According to reports, the company that produces this arthritis and joint pain reliever uses false addresses on all labeling and contact information. The company, Riger Natural, is allegedly based in Mexico and creates the all-natural joint pain reliever Reumofan for sale in both Mexico and the United States.

All throughout America, those that suffer from arthritis buy this all-natural pill online and have it shipped to their homes to aid them in relief from their injuries. Yet the dietary supplement may not be all that it claims to be on its label. Riger Natural lists some of the ingredients in Reumofan as shark cartilage, white willow, and even some glucosamine. Despite the fact that the pill is supposedly made from all-natural ingredients, there is no telling what is actually in the medication.

Those that take Reumofan faithfully have experienced some severe health complications. Reports show that some consumers have suffered liver damage, strokes, and severe episodes of bleeding related to taking the product. Federal records show that at least three individuals have died after consuming Reumofan. The FDA does not regulate the sale of this medication because it is manufactured in Mexico, not the United States. Also, many individuals never report medication errors to the FDA. Therefore there is no way to know exactly how many people have suffered the adverse effects of Reumofan.

One of the biggest issues with this drug is the mystery of the manufacturer. In most cases, when a drug is deemed dangerous it can be recalled. Then, the FDA will regulate the recall, and plaintiffs can file cases against the pharmaceutical company that created a harmful medication or provided poor warning labels on the medication. Yet when it comes to Reumofan, plaintiffs are at a bit of a loss. The company has fake addresses and no one can get ahold of the manufacturer.

Even distribution companies say that they are not able to get a hold of company and that their contacts simply disappeared. Mexican health authorities tried to track down the company and failed to do so. Lab tests show that there are at least three potentially dangerous prescription drugs hiding in the allegedly "all-natural" Reumofan capsules. The FDA is not providing excessive information about the capsules at present, but has already issued several warnings about the product starting in June 2012.

Despite warnings, arthritis patients continue to order the drug, hoping that it will give them relief for their pain. Thousands of Americans also buy Reumofan from a small U.S. reseller that has already conducted a recall on the product. It is impossible to gauge the full use of the drug because the product's maker has no established company and the internet and Mexican border stores that sell the product never regulate the sales.

Still, Fabricant believes that more than 85,000 supplement products are on the market at present. Reumofan is a medication that is disguised as a supplement because of its alleged "all natural" nature. Supposedly the pills contain only nutrients, and therefore cannot be considered a drug. Still, testing shows that the capsules actually contain some powerful painkillers that are considered prescription medications. If you want more information about this dangerous pill or if you have another dangerous drug lawsuit, then you need an attorney on your side.
