The Accident

Boysman was in Phoenix the weekend of October 6th to attend the Association of National Advertisers conference. She worked as vice president of marketing and advertising for Syracuse-based Aspen Dental Management. She was en route in a car service to the airport for a return flight home. Kuzelka's pickup truck collided with the the black SUV Boysman was a passenger in. Boysman was not wearing a seat belt. The SUV driver, 55-year-old Raja Marlmuthu, of Gilbert, Arizona, was treated for a broken right arm as well as a cerebral hemorrhage. Kuzelka was also treated for internal injuries.

Blood Alcohol Content

At the time of the crash, Kuzelka's blood alcohol content was 0.28 percent. Allegedly, Kuzelka has been previously convicted of drunken driving - twice - in March 2007 and October 2007. In 2010 Kuzelka also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a destructive device as well as unlawful marijuana growing. According to the Los Angeles Times investigators found explosive substances that were similar to those used in the 2007 London subway terrorist bombings, in Kuzelka's home.

Kuzelka, who pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and aggravated assault, will also serve five years probation upon serving his prison term.
