The Ford F-150 is a popular truck and quite a few owners are most likely not very happy about a recent recall that was announced earlier this year. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration requested Ford to recall their F-150 trucks that were manufactured between 2004 and 2006 due to a possible defect in their air bags.
Up to 1.2 million cars may have the defective bags, the source being traced back to an electrical short that can cause the air bags to deploy unexpectedly. Notices are to be sent out to replace the air bag wire in the steering wheel for the targeted recall customers.
Reports have been noted of 300 cases in which the air bags deployed inadvertently causing some serious injuries. Product recalls are by no means uncommon and people do need to understand that often times, we can be too trusting of manufacturers and distributers when it comes to quality.
If You Have Been Injured
If you reside in the Long Beach area and have been injured by a recalled product, you should contact a Long Beach personal injury lawyer to file a lawsuit so you can receive fair and just compensation. As in the Ford recall above, some people were seriously injured and deserved to have financial compensation as the product was defective.
At the Law Office of Leonard Matsuk, we are experienced with cases involving defective products as well as recalled products and can help you get a settlement or award for any injuries you may have sustained. Mr. Matsuk has over 30 years of experience in the legal field and has received several prestigious awards in the industry for his professionalism and competence.
Feel free to contact a Long Beach product recall attorney in our office for a complimentary initial consultation if you or a loved one has been injured by a recalled product.
